Bye Bye B's

This picture was take over the summer. By looking at it, you would think that binkie(s) would never leave her mouth. However, the impossible happend. Saturday night while Jeff was at dinner after the priesthood session, I was getting the kids ready for bed. After about 30 minutes of searching for the binkie I looked at Allie and told her I couldn't find it. So she got into bed and laid down while I sat with her and she fell asleep in about 15 minutes. I thought surely she will be up crying all night wanting her b's as she calls it. But, she woke up once and went to sleep and since then hasn't missed it. It's a good thing Jeff wasn't home or I would have immediately ran to Target and bought a new one for her.
This experience has made me step back a little bit and realize she is hitting the toddler phase and out of the baby phase. On Sunday in President Monson's talk he urged us all (not just mothers) to find joy in the journey. This was by far the one message I felt inspired to work on. Through the poopy diapers, the tantrums about clothing, the battles of doing homework these are the things we are going to look back on and laugh about. I should find a way to laugh about them now, too!

Good job on getting rid of the B's! I knew it was just a matter of time. Al is certainly becoming a big girl and is no longer a baby. It's kinda sad the baby is gone but she is so cute right now too.

Just as she had mastered the art of talking with it in! Just be careful--that little sweetie is going to find one around the house someday. It would be interesting to see what she does when she finds one.

I love the 2 at a time pic. I think you might find some binkies hiding in Abbie's bed. She is a beautiful TODDLER.

What a CHOICE photo! It's hard to give up something that brings such comfort, right Ryan? (How's that blankie, by the way?) Allie is such a cutie, and now we can see her smile without the binkie! Steph

I know why she is tired of the B's. It is too hard for Al to say all those words she has to say now with the B's in her little mouth. Just not enough room! She is sure growing up fast-wow.
