B's Update

Allie is officially 9 days without her binkie or her B as she likes to call it. Jeff and I asked her where it went and she said "daddy ate it." A few weeks ago Jeff was playing around with her and he pretended like he ate her binkie. So now she thinks Jeff has devoured her binkies.

Birthday Celebration

Stephanie was kind enough to have a birthday dinner for Steve and Jeff on Sunday. We had french bread pizza and I made a german chocolate cake for desseret. Happy birthday you old guys!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

Ryan and Abbey woke up Sunday morning so excited it had snowed the night before. We dug out everyone's snow boots, searched for their coats and hats, got dressed in all the gear and then this is what happend probably 4 minutes later...

After sliding down the snow packed slide in the backyard, everyone decided it was too cold and they need hot chocolate and the fire!

Jeff's Birthday

Jeff turned 37 on Saturday. He did not want a big to do, just to do something with kids. When I asked them what they wanted to do,they said to go bowling. We had such a blast. Ryan and Abbey were such awesome helpers with Allie. When it was her turn they helped her roll the ball down the lane. Allie loved it she jumped up and down and said "go, push it." The scoring was a little surprising. Jeff came in first, Abbey Second, I was third, then Ryan and last Allie.

On My Way To Organization

A month ago, we had a lady come and speak to us in enrichment night about clearing your clutter. While she gave me some good ideas with her before pictures, I did come away with putting items in some sort of storage. I am excited to post this picture not only to share some ideas with you, but it has been a month and it still looks like this! Yeah!

She also gave out this address: Mail Prefernce Services
Direct Marketing Association
P.O. Box 9008
Farmingdale, NY 11735

If you write a letter to the above address it will cancel all of your paper junk mail for 5 years.

The Circus Came To Town

While I was at the Relief Society broadcast Jeff took the kids, along with his dad, to the Circus. They had an awesome time and of course enjoyed their souvenirs dad caved and bought them. There is Ryan's $17 sword and Abbey's $17 tiger in a purse. I thought this was so ironic coming from the dad who won't buy happy meals just for the toy. Looks like someone got caught up in the circus excitement!

Bye Bye B's

This picture was take over the summer. By looking at it, you would think that binkie(s) would never leave her mouth. However, the impossible happend. Saturday night while Jeff was at dinner after the priesthood session, I was getting the kids ready for bed. After about 30 minutes of searching for the binkie I looked at Allie and told her I couldn't find it. So she got into bed and laid down while I sat with her and she fell asleep in about 15 minutes. I thought surely she will be up crying all night wanting her b's as she calls it. But, she woke up once and went to sleep and since then hasn't missed it. It's a good thing Jeff wasn't home or I would have immediately ran to Target and bought a new one for her.
This experience has made me step back a little bit and realize she is hitting the toddler phase and out of the baby phase. On Sunday in President Monson's talk he urged us all (not just mothers) to find joy in the journey. This was by far the one message I felt inspired to work on. Through the poopy diapers, the tantrums about clothing, the battles of doing homework these are the things we are going to look back on and laugh about. I should find a way to laugh about them now, too!
